What is the SIP Symposium?
This symposium is organized by the Society of Immune Polymorphism. During this annual symposium, scientists will be presenting great lectures on immune polymorphic issues covering various species. In addition to invited speakers, attendees can submit an abstract to be selected as speaker as well.
Next to the scientific program, there is ample time to connect with other professionals in the field during breakfast, lunch, dinner and other breaks in the program.
When and where will the SIP Symposium take place?
The 2026 edition will take place from November 2 – 4 and is hosted at Van der Valk Hotel Leiden-Sassenheim in the Netherlands.
We will kick off the symposium with a plenary lecture and dinner on Monday November 2nd, 2026, and the symposium will conclude with a dinner on Wednesday November 4th, 2026.
Is there a possibility to attend the symposium remotely?
We encourage an intimate setting where scientific progress can freely be discussed. Therefore, we do not plan to allow recording or broadcasting otherwise.
Who should attend the symposium?
Anyone interested in immune polymorphism, including:

Scientists active in basic and/or translational research

Scientists working with animal models and/or in human health

Both early-career researchers and seasoned professors
Will I receive a certificate of attendance?
Yes, you will receive a digital certificate of attendance.

Will sessions be recorded?
No, sessions will not be recorded.
Can I present at the symposium?
Yes, you can. For more information on how to be included in the program as a speaker, please visit this page.
Will there be a poster session?
No. We strive to include all accepted abstracts in the program of speakers.
Registration & Payment
What payment methods are accepted?
You can pay by debit card or credit card. Please note that we manage all payments via Mollie.
Can I receive an invoice for my registration?
When you register, you will automatically receive a PDF invoice by e-mail.
Are there any visa requirements to consider?
Depending on your country of residency, you may need to arrange a visa. Please note that you are responsible for this. If you need a confirmation for registration from the organisation in order to apply for a visa, please contact our team at office@sip-sassenheim.org.
What if I register, but can no longer attend?
The following cancellation fees apply, based on the date of cancellation:
- Before July 31st , 2026: 25% cancellation fee
- Between August 1st and September 30th, 2026: 50% cancellation fee
- After October 1st, 2026:
100% cancellation fee
Can I transfer my registration to someone else?
If you need to cancel your registration, we are willing to cooperate to transfer registration to someone else. If needed, please contact office@sip-sassenheim.org.
Is there a registration deadline?
The sooner, the better! Especially if you want to profit from the Early Bird discount.
What should I do if my payment is not processed successfully?
Registration is only accepted when the applicable payment has been received. In case you need help, please contact office@sip-sassenheim.org.
